About The Role

We are looking for an Electrician to join our team. Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Electrician will be responsible for undertaking various electrical tasks including inspection & testing and condition reporting for new installation work, minor works projects, refurbishment works and planned maintenance tasks to achieve a high level of service delivery.   • Location: Mobile NI – Cookstown / Dungannon – To cover North West Region (County Londonderry/Derry, County Tyrone & County Fermanagh)
  • Hours Per Week: 08:00 – 16:30, Monday – Friday (40 Hours)

The Multi Skilled Electrician will:

  • Be suitably experienced in the delivery of all aspects of electrical installation works from light commercial installations to large industrial installations.
  • Work either as part of a maintenance team for larger installations under the instruction of a local site supervisor or work independently on minor works projects without local supervision.
  • Have the ability to meet with a variety of Clients to represent the Company and remain courteous and professional in your dealings at all times.
  • Have sufficient knowledge of the current IET wiring regulations ensuring all works meet the requirements of the current regulations.
  • Undertake a range of installation and completion tasks including but not limited to single and three phase low voltage distribution cabling and equipment, steel & PVC trunking/tray/conduit containment, final circuit cabling, second fix final termination of wiring accessories, data networking, HVAC controls, fault finding, inspection & testing, minor reactive/remedial repairs.
  • Ensure accurate completion and timely submission of company documentation (Hard copy or electronic) as required per contract.
  • Liaise closely with the electrical engineers to develop engineering solutions to meet clients requirements and budgets.
  • Use their own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with minor works activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
  • Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure best possible working practices are adhered.
  • Have a sound understanding of the current edition of BS7671 and associated IET guidance documents in relation to best practice and principles.

About You

Essential Criteria

  1. Have a minimum of 2+ years experience as a qualified electrician.
  2. Current Full UK Driver\’s License.
  3. Registered CSCS/CSR Card or equivalent skill card.

Desirable Criteria

  1. IET Wiring Regulations BS 7678 18th Edition inc. Amd. 2
  2. Registered CSCS/CSR Card or equivalent skill card.
  3. Experience in planned & reactive maintenance.
  4. Experience in electrical condition reporting & repairs.
  5. Knowledge of working within the water treatment sector
