Reporting to the Technical Facilities Manager, the Multi Skilled Plumber / Water Hygiene Technician will be responsible for undertaking various planned and reactive maintenance tasks, as well as occasional new minor installation work. You will work as part of the maintenance team and must demonstrate a sound knowledge of Water Monitoring processes and heating systems. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and improve efficiency, where possible. Your varied, but valued, contribution will help us create a hassle-free environment.

Job Responsibilities:
- Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274.
- The monitoring inspections will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection, showerhead disinfection, risk assessment review and logbook auditing.
- The maintenance tasks will include water temperature monitoring and recording, plumbing repairs, alterations and installation works associated with domestic hot & cold water systems as well as minor fabric tasks as required.
- The role will involve working in a multi-site capacity; therefore, you must be prepared to travel.
- The inspections will be undertaken using a PDA and web-based electronic log book system.
- Undertake other water hygiene related tasks as required including monitoring, maintenance and remediation works.
- Be part of the Out of Hours On-call rota.

About You
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrate previous experience in related water system remediation/maintenance works, working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (HSC ACoP L8, HSG 274, Water Regulations).
- C&G 6019 NVQ Lv 3 or equivalent, having completed a relevant apprenticeship within your trade.
- Hold a minimum of 3+ years experience in a FM maintenance role, particularly in relation to planned, reactive and remedial maintenance within a FM Environment.
- Clean Driving Licence.
- Ability to achieve Police Vetting to NPPV2 level to enable working in our clients' facilities.
Desirable Criteria:
- City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training.
- Previous experience in the maintenance, servicing and testing of Chemical Water Treatment systems.
- Qualification in TMV / TMT maintenance and servicing.
- IOSH Working Safely qualification / CSCS.
- Working within a Multi Discipline FM Environment able to undertake Minor Fabric & Mechanical repairs.
