Due to the continued success and expansion of the business in the South West region of England & Wales, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Your varied, but valued, contribution will help us create a hassle-free environment for all.
Location: Swansea
Hours: 37.5hrs, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full Time/Perm
The Mechanical Engineer will:
- Work as part of the Maintenance Team
- Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task
- Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities
- Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works
- Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date
- Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards
- Play a key role in planning and completing a range of works on various building systems
- Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile client
- Utilise PDAs / mobiles to complete works
- Deal with a variety of Clients on a daily basis
- Provide regular out of hours cover on a rota system
Essential:
- Level 3 Commercial Plumbing or Heating and Ventilation Qualifications
- Demonstrate relevant previous experience in a maintenance role
- Full Drivers License
- Knowledge of BMS Systems
- Knowledge of SFG 20
Desirable Criteria:
- Demonstrate a sound general knowledge of multiple building services
- Recognised time served apprenticeship
- Demonstrate previous experience in a maintenance role in a university environment
- Recognised Health & Safety training
- Licensed MEWP operator
- Confined space training
