At GRAHAM, we are seeking a working foreman to cover the Warwickshire Police area to help create a hassle-free environment for our clients and engineers. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the working Foreman will undertake various planned and reactive maintenance tasks, as well as have responsibility for supervising and auditing the work of others. The post holder will act as the initial point of contact for daily operations. You will be able to work on your own initiative to achieve the high level of service delivery expected by ourselves and our clients. Other aspects include conducting inductions of contractors attending sites.

As well as planning works and managing efficient service delivery, you will assist with answering operational and technical queries that arise. You will complete a variety of audits on sub-contracted works and Graham staff. You should have experience in dealing with clients on a daily basis and demonstrate how to build key client relationships. This is a hands-on role, so you will need to have a can-do attitude, as well as a flexible approach to meet the demands of the role. You will provide exceptional maintenance services to our high-profile client and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance.

Main Activities of the Working Supervisor:

  • Multi-skilled approach, supervising the work of multiple trades, self-delivery and sub-contracted.
  • Liase with client staff, dealing with enquiries and arranging works.
  • Carrying out audits as required, including health and safety as well as quality inspections.
  • To carry out reactive and planned maintenance as well as some minor installations.
  • Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task.
  • Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts and materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
  • Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works.
  • Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times.
  • Meet with a variety of clients to represent the company and remain courteous and professional in your dealings.
  • Accurate completion and timely submission of company documentation as required per contract.
  • Participate in the company's on-call rota to provide the client with full out-of-hours cover.

About You

Essential:

  • Hold a SSSTS / SMSTS qualification.
  • Hold a minimum of 3 years experience in a building maintenance role, particularly in relation to commercial planned, reactive and remedial maintenance.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in building services.
  • Current Full UK Drivers License.
  • Be able to undertake Non Personnel Police Vetting level 2.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in planned and reactive maintenance.
  • PASMA IPAF Licence.
  • IT Skills in the use of PDAs.
  • COSHH training.
  • Manual Handling training.
  • Confined space training.
  • Registered CSCS/CSR Card (or equivalent).
  • National Water Hygiene card holder.
  • SMSTS Training.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • First aid training.
