Reporting to the Technical Services Manager the electrician will be responsible for undertaking various electrical tasks including inspection & testing and condition reporting for new installation work, minor works projects, refurbishment works, reactive and planned maintenance tasks in order to achieve a high level of service delivery.

- Hours: 40hrs, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Full Time/Perm
Be able to undertake a multitude of works including planned maintenance tasks, reactive repairs including fault finding on mechanical plant and minor installation works
Work either as part of a maintenance team for larger installations under the instruction of a local site supervisor or work independently on minor works projects without local supervision.
Have the ability to meet with a variety of Clients to represent the Company and remain courteous
and professional in your dealings at all times.
Have sufficient knowledge of the current IET wiring regulations ensuring all works meet the requirements of the current IET wiring regulations.
Undertake a range of installation and completion tasks including but not limited to single and three phase low voltage distribution cabling and equipment, steel & PVC trunking/tray/conduit containment, final circuit cabling, second fix final termination of wiring accessories, data networking, HVCA controls, fault finding, inspection & testing.
Accurate completion and timely submission company documentation (Hard copy or electronic) as
required per contract.
Liaise closely with the electrical engineers to develop engineering solutions to meet clients
requirements and budgets.
Use their own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with minor works
activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered
Have a sound understanding of the current edition of BS7671 and associated IET guidance documents in relation to best practice and principals.
Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times.
Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and contract specifications.
Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
Utilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.
Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.
Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.
Deal with a variety of Clients on a daily basis. You will represent the Company and be courteous and professional in your dealings with them at all times.
Provide regular out-of-hours cover on a rota system.

planned, reactive and remedial maintenance
