GRAHAM are currently recruiting for a multi-skilled operative for immediate start to deliver day-to-day reactive maintenance works across our Facilities Management Contract, predominantly in the University of Manchester. GRAHAM FM will provide services related to both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance of facilities in relation to building fabric, and also minor works projects across the region.
Reporting directly to the Contracts Delivery Manager, you will join an already well-established delivery team of Multi-Skilled Joiners, plumbers, and General Operatives. As part of your role, you will be responsible for undertaking and delivering to a high standard reactive maintenance works and various planned projects across various campuses of student accommodation, working independently but also as part of a high-performing team.
There is a current out-of-hours on-call rota which is covered weekly by all operatives for any emergencies occurring outside of the normal working day, this is covered with a stand-by fee and also overtime paid at the appropriate rates.
The Multi Skilled Joiner will:
- Work alongside existing/other members of the team
- Undertake a range of Joinery/plumbing/plastering tasks on reactive and small commercial projects
- Ensure all works are completed efficiently to a high standard
- Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task
- Update Site/Project Management/Helpdesk on Progress of works
- Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works
- Provide detailed write-ups/PDA reports of works carried out
- Deal with a variety of Clients/Customers on a daily basis
- Keep accurate Time reports on all tasks completed
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferably within the maintenance or construction industry
- Demonstrate a sound general knowledge of multiple building and mechanical services
- Full Drivers Licence
- Ability to obtain a DBS certificate
- Ability to obtain Police Vetting approval
Desirable Criteria:
- CSCS card or other recognised Safety training
- Recognised Health & Safety training
- Licensed MEWP operator
- Manual Handling training
- Confined space training
