At GRAHAM, we are seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to help create a hassle-free environment for our clients and engineers. We are committed to investing in our people and creating the conditions for them to excel.
Location: Central Belt Scotland (Mobile)
Hours Per Week: Mon-Fri, 40 hours
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
The Mobile Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance to a high standard and will:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance works within agreed timescales, ensuring full compliance with current regulations and client specifications.
- Undertake fault finding, diagnostics, and minor installation works across electrical, mechanical, and building fabric assets.
- Complete like-for-like replacement of assets as required.
- Inspect plant and equipment, ensuring inspection results are accurately recorded.
- Work effectively as part of a maintenance team or independently, completing minor repairs without direct supervision.
- Deliver works in line with agreed programmes, ensuring practical completion is achieved on schedule.
- Manage and replenish local site stock, including appropriate waste management.
- Provide a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
- Liaise with site-based clients, GRAHAM colleagues, and the Helpdesk to maintain programme and workflow.
- Supervise specialist subcontractors, ensuring workmanship quality and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all documentation, reports, and maintenance records are completed accurately and on time.
- Manage workload and time effectively, including travel between multiple sites.
- Use initiative to resolve complex technical issues associated with reactive maintenance, including sourcing parts and materials and liaising with manufacturers for technical support.
- Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, including completing point-of-work risk assessments for all tasks.
- Participate in an emergency call-out rota, providing out-of-hours engineering support.
- Maintain overall site welfare standards.
- Be comfortable working at height and in varying site environments.
Typical Maintenance Tasks
The role will involve a varied range of general maintenance and repair activities, including but not limited to:
- Lighting repairs and replacements.
- Basic plumbing and toilet repairs.
- Fire door inspections.
- Maintenance of Air Handling Units (AHUs).
- Maintenance of VRV air conditioning systems.
- Emergency lighting testing.
Essential Criteria
Hold a minimum of 3 years experience in a building maintenance role, particularly in relation to planned, reactive and remedial maintenance.
Current Full UK Drivers Licence.
Trade Qualification.
Registered CSCS/CSR Card or equivalent skill card.
Desirable Criteria
IOSH Working Safely.
PASMA.
IPAF.
Fire Door Inspection.
18th Edition BS7671.
