This job is primarily based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. Candidates will only be considered if they live locally or have the ability to commute.

Job Purpose: We are looking for an innovative, talented photographer with excellent experience of product photography and styling, ideally with an interiors background, to join our creative content team and produce high quality images and video for use on the G&G website, social media and for all wider marketing purposes that will excite, inspire and bring our brand to life. This is a hands-on role, in a busy dynamic team, working on a rich mix of branded content. The working hours are Monday to Friday 0800 to 1630, working 0800 to 1600 at the studio (with a 30-minute unpaid break) and the final 30 minutes editing from home. (Please note that hours may be variable due to natural light for shoots)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Photograph, edit and upload web photography for which appropriate photography is not already available.
  • Create behind the scenes videos, stop motions and product specific video content for the website and social media.
  • Work with the Marketing Department to create content that can be used to support marketing messaging throughout the year.
  • Provide art direction and prop styling on shoots.
  • Ensure brand/in-house photography styles are met.
  • Make sure content is aligned with the content calendar, delivering to deadlines.
  • Work with the Stock Control & Shoot Coordinator to arrange smooth running of shoots.
  • Manage ongoing organisation of your assets within our SharePoint cloud storage system.
  • Retouch, re-size and make colour changes/corrections to all your imagery for web, catalogue and general marketing purposes.
  • Stay up to date with visual content trends.
  • Collaborate effectively with your co-workers in the photography and videography team.
  • Prepare sets, equipment and lighting for shoots.
  • Ensure all studio equipment is maintained and in a clean working order.
  • Deliver all assets in a timely manner.
  • Assist with CGI production, briefing in new made-to-order product imagery requirements to a third-party supplier.
  • Be part of the seasonal catalogue lifestyle location shoots.
  • Support the photography team by creating supporting product shots imagery, social content, and behind-the-scene videos.

This is a summary of the role, and the Photographer is expected to undertake additional ad-hoc duties as and when necessary to fulfil the needs of the business.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience demonstrating strong skills in photography and filming, editing and packaging videos to a high standard.
  • Strong experience in taking product shots, post-shoot image management and manipulation.
  • Experience of adapting material for various purposes, platforms and audiences.
  • Previous experience of working with ecommerce image production and digital teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Evidence of strong visual skills and creative thinking.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
  • A self-starter with a strong autonomous problem-solving ability.
  • Extensive experience in using Photoshop for the purposes of retouching, colour correction and image manipulation.
  • Technical understanding of video workflow and file types, pre- and post-production.
  • Experience and passion for interior photography is preferable.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and related apps in the Adobe Creative Suite.
