About the Role
We are looking for a talented Senior Sales & Events Manager to deliver and execute sales strategies in collaboration with the Head of Spaces.
This person will lead the day-to-day handling and conversion of incoming enquiries while executing sales strategies to drive growth across their venue portfolio.
They will be accountable for achieving sales performance targets and ensuring commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Successfully deliver sales strategies with the support of the sales team, including:
- Identifying new events, opportunities, and markets
- Data recording via CRM software
- Business development and proactive sales
- Relationship management with clients, prospects, agencies, and internal stakeholders
- Marketing initiatives
- Ensure all sales targets are achieved and KPIs are consistently monitored.
- Maintain the highest standards of sales operations.
- Work with senior stakeholders to develop and implement proactive sales strategies that support both short and long-term business objectives.
- Support the conversion and negotiation of contracts and manage key high-value clients.
- Conduct venue site visits with clients, showcasing event possibilities, identifying upselling opportunities, and explaining operational logistics.
- Marketing
- Collaborate with marketing teams and venue leaders to deliver data-driven marketing strategies.
- Ensure marketing objectives, targets, and KPIs are achieved.
- Maintain high standards of marketing operations.
- Act as a brand ambassador and support brand growth across venues.
- Attend networking events, exhibitions, and promotional activities to actively promote venues and services.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Raise event invoices as required and support debt management processes.
- Work alongside operational teams to ensure events are financially reconciled promptly.
- Report forecasting and reconciliation figures to senior management.
- Provide reports to stakeholders when required.
- Coach and support team members to ensure understanding of sales standards and expectations.

Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of contributing to and delivering business strategies for complex, multi-purpose venues.
- Experience managing, influencing, and inspiring cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and facilities professionals.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in venue sales, events sales, or a similar environment.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness, including sales negotiations, revenue generation, target achievement, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of the local venue and events market.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels while remaining calm under pressure.
- Experience managing sales budgets, P&Ls, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of collaborative marketing and brand strategies.
- Experience monitoring and managing sales targets and KPIs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
