Transport Planner/ Administrator Office based role Location: Brough Salary: £26k-£35k Hours: Mon-Friday Grafton Recruitment are looking for the perfect logistics specialist to work for one of their busy, successful clients in the Brough area. The perfect candidate will have excellent knowledge within the Logistics sector and preferably a background in planning. The role: Prepare a robust weekly logistics plan in a timely and cost-effective manner. Prepare comprehensive, accurate and timely information for both internal and external stakeholders. Liaise with drivers to allocate collections/deliveries in accordance with WTD/Drivers hours rules. Customer and supplier liaison to help plan the weekly requirements and ensure optimum efficiency of the fleet. Booking of Third-Party haulage (where required) to achieve plans in support of internal and external stakeholders, whilst actively ensuring costs are monitored and kept to a minimum. Work with all other internal departments to effectively handle complaints, events, non-conformance's and ensure support plans are in place to maintain long-term supplier/customer relationships. Monitor and deal with general correspondence and e-mails from customers and suppliers to ensure their needs are met and, where possible, exceeded. Manage imports and exports of product on occasion, coordinating haulage and preparing relevant paperwork as required. Work closely with production team and Supply Chain Manager to manage material flow in/out. Support implementation and development of systems to help continuous improvement throughout the logistics operation.
