Supply Chain Administrator | Join Our Growing Hull TeamLocation: Hull, East YorkshireSalary: £25,000-£30,000Job Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the RoleAre you a detail-oriented and highly organised administrator with a passion for Supply Chain and Logistics? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our bustling team as an Supply Chain Administrator in the heart of Hull. Following a period of significant growth, we are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to help manage the administrative tasks involved in exporting our goods to countries around the world.This is a pivotal role that will see you working closely with our internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient international transactions.Key Responsibilities

  • Documentation: Prepare, review, and process all export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and Certificates of Origin, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all regulations.
  • Compliance: Work closely with customs agents and authorities to ensure all shipments meet import/export regulations, including customs laws and trade agreements.
  • Coordination: Arrange transportation with freight forwarders and carriers, and track shipments from origin to destination.
  • Customer Communication: Act as a key point of contact for international customers, sales teams, and other internal departments regarding shipment status and potential issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all export transactions and documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively resolve any logistical problems that arise, such as delivery delays or discrepancies.
  • Administration: Assist with general administrative duties to support the wider export and logistics function.

The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or export administration role is advantageous.
  • Knowledge: An understanding of international trade documentation (e.g., Incoterms, Letters of Credit) is highly beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • IT Proficiency: A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
