Based in North East (Possibility of hybrid working). Grafton Recruitment are working with a large corporate organisation to appoint an experienced procurement professional on a 12 month temporary contract. The role will require you to work across a broad selection of materials and services, sourcing product, negotiating pricing and working within existing contracts to secure product. You will work on tendering projects to negotiate pricing and terms, and set up agreements and frameworks across build, facilities, and engineering projects. You will identify opportunities for improvement and work to deliver cost and time savings in process, and manage supplier performance to ensure this is optimised.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in procurement role with solid understanding of end to end contract process
- Knowledge of tendering process and aware of contract terms
- Previous experience of negotiation of terms and pricing
- Ideally within engineering, civils, or utilities organisation
- Understanding of ERP and e-procurement systems
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Commercial and inquisitive
