Grafton Recruitment are working with a large corporate organisation to appoint a procurement professional with experience of working with a broad range of IT based categories who will centralize and lead category strategy. This is an exciting time for this organisation and the role offers some great career development opportunities.
You will be an experienced procurement professional with knowledge of managing key suppliers, leading those supplier relationships, and negotiating and implementing contracts for goods and services. This role will take responsibility for working alongside the stakeholders in the business to lead tenders and contract award for IT products and services, and professional services spend. You will need to have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, as well as strong project management skills. This role offers a great opportunity to lead category strategy for defined areas and negotiate high value contracts. You will be part of a large and sophisticated procurement team.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing - identification and evaluation of suppliers
- Tendering, negotiating, and implementing contracts and agreements
- Managing complex contracts, and identifying supplier risk
- Managing, advising, and influencing stakeholders through the procurement process
- Managing supplier relationships, setting supplier strategy and evaluating supplier performance
- Project procurement and category management approach
- Category centralization and strategy development
Requirements:
- Experience of leading and managing end to end procurement process, tendering and contract award.
- Procurement experience for indirect categories, including IT specifically.
- Excellent influencing skills, managing cross function projects and senior stakeholders.
