Inventory Analyst Salary: Β£36k Bicester β onsite work Grafton Recruitment is partnering with an established company that is looking for an Inventory Analyst to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory performance, analysing demand patterns, and ensuring product availability across various sites. This role requires close collaboration with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to maintain data integrity, streamline replenishment processes, and optimise inventory control. THE ROLE: Some of your responsibilities as an Inventory Analyst: Track and assess inventory levels across multiple depots to maintain optimal stock positioning. Analyse purchasing trends, product movement, and supplier lead times to forecast inventory needs and avoid shortages or excess. Perform regular stock audits and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Coordinate with procurement and vendor teams to manage order fulfilment, delivery timelines, and outstanding items. Ensure data accuracy within enterprise resource planning (ERP) and warehouse management systems (WMS). Identify slow-moving or excess stock and suggest ways to reduce or redistribute it. Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to support decision-making and performance tracking. Assist operations in redistributing stock based on sales trends and projected demand. Suggest improvements to inventory processes that reduce waste and improve efficiency. Follow company procedures and support compliance with inventory audits. THE CANDIDATE: 4+ years of experience in inventory, supply chain, or demand planning ideally in retail or FMCG. Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams and suppliers. Understanding of inventory planning, supply chain operations, and forecasting. Familiarity with ERP systems. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis).
