A well-established fit-out and construction contractor based in Cavan is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of projects from site set-up through to handover. This is a key hire for someone who runs a tight site, drives programme, and delivers high-quality finishes safely and efficiently.
The Role
- Manage day-to-day site operations, logistics, and subcontractor supervision
- Drive the programme, coordinate trades, and ensure milestones are met
- Maintain high standards of quality/finish; manage snagging through to close-out
- Lead site safety: inductions, RAMS, toolbox talks, and compliance with safe systems of work
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, and plant to avoid downtime
- Keep accurate site records: daily diaries, progress updates, reports and photos
- Liaise with Project Managers, design teams, clients and suppliers to resolve issues quickly
- Manage short-term lookaheads and ensure readiness for upcoming works
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering fit-out and/or construction projects
- Strong finishing background with a quality-first approach
- Solid knowledge of H&S and site compliance (RAMS, permits, reporting)
- Ability to plan works, manage subcontractors, and maintain momentum on fast-track programmes
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid Safe Pass (and SMSTS/SSSTS desirable)
