Grafton Recruitment are working with a large public sector organisation to appoint an experienced procurement professional to lead sourcing and cost down projects.
You will be responsible for category management, tendering, and contract negotiation for defined areas of spend. You will manage the full cycle of the procurement process, engaging with stakeholders over their needs, preparing tender details, and negotiating and implementing contracts, ultimately setting up frameworks for the organisation. You will manage the ongoing relationships with suppliers, ensuring performance and identifying potential cost saving opportunities.
You will also lead a small team of Procurement Officers, managing the team's resource, coaching, and mentoring.
Experience Required:
- Managing tendering processes, setting up contracts and managing vendor performance.
- Managing and supporting stakeholders through the procurement process.
- Identifying and delivering service and value improvement.
- Experience in public sector procurement and knowledge of processes required.
