Job Title: Sourcing Specialist (Procurement)
Location: Lisburn – Northern Ireland
Contract: 9 months temporary contract (possible extension/permanency)
Rate: £35,000 – £40,000 pro rata
Grafton Recruitment are working with a large global manufacturing client to recruit an experienced procurement professional to join a local sourcing function on a short-term contract, and focused on sourcing components and engineered materials from a global supplier base.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing new and alternative sources for products, whilst maintaining quality and on-time delivery targets at best pricing.
- Issuing and evaluating RFQs for local and global suppliers.
- Working within cross functional teams and supporting stakeholders through NPI, and engineering change processes, assessing supplier quotes, supplier selection, pricing, and delivery.
- Conducting supplier reviews and performance tracking.
- Acting as point of escalation with suppliers for any supply issues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a professional buying role and ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management strategy and expediting.
- Strong negotiation skills – price and delivery terms.
- Experience of managing Supply Chain risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
