We are looking to recruit a Legal Cashier for an exciting permanent opportunity with a leading law firm based in Lincoln. The successful individual will be responsible for compliance with Solicitor Accounts Rules and ensuring the processing of financial information in the smooth running and reconciliation of the purchase and normal ledgers Key duties will include: * Daily banking functions including bank reconciliations * Processing of client and office accounting transactions including postings and payment production * Processing of client bills to include checking and processing * Input and production of nominal payment requests * Processing automatic and manual payment runs via online banking * Processing of bank transfers * Coding and input of purchase invoices to appropriate budget headings * VAT administration and returns * Processing of travel and other expenses * Anti-Money Laundering checks and ID processing as required * Dealing with enquiries from fee earners, support staff and clients * Administration and reconciliation of petty cash Requirements: * Previous legal accounts experience * IT user skills with particular emphasis on excel spreadsheets * Attention to detail * A diligent and methodical work ethic * The ability to work as part of a team * A positive approach to working under pressure in a busy environment The firm offers: * A welcoming place to work with a great team * Competitive salary * Attractive benefits package * Discounted legal services in some areas
