We are currently looking to recruit a salaried GP to join our clinical team for 4-6 sessions per week. As an integral team member, the role will include clinical and administrative duties in a dynamic team. At Grafton Medical Partners, our doctors are supported by a number of ARRS roles including Care Coordinators, Pharmacists, FCPs, Paramedics and a Social Prescriber. We have regular clinical meetings and are highly performing and highly rated by our patients.
Main duties of the job
- Undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations (telephone triage, face‑to‑face appointments, and home visits), checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely frame.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other health‑care workers within the organisation.
- Assess the health‑care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Provide counselling and health education.
- Record clear and contemporary consultation notes.
- Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
- Prescribe in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever clinically appropriate.
- Monitor and manage documents on EMIS results, lab reports, etc.
- Participate in rotational on‑call rota.
- Consult with other GP team members about the specialised needs of some patients.
- Attend weekly clinical in‑practice meetings.

Work within the guidelines set by CQC to ensure that the Practice is safe, efficient and provides the best possible care for patients. Offer suggestions to the Practice Manager on how we can improve, progress and develop all processes relating to CQC.
