About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, detail-focused Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a part time basis, working 20 hours per week. You will take ownership of core month-end activities, perform strong balance sheet reviews, maintain robust financial controls and provide practical support to the Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the General Ledger and review bank reconciliations.
- Manage an accurate and timely month-end close.
- Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations and conduct thorough reviews.
- Prepare IFRS 16 journals.
- Manage capital expenditure and maintain accurate fixed asset records.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Produce monthly management reports and investigate variances and other issues.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial queries and analysis.
Requirements:
- Part-qualifiedaccountantstudying towards CIMA,ACCAor ACA.
- Proven experience in monthly management reporting andmonth-end processes.
- Good Excel skills and confidence using financial systems.
- A practical problem-solving attitude, strong attention to detail and effectiveorganisation.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently and take ownership.
