Grafton Banks Finance is working with a leading retailer to recruit a new Tax Manager for their UK & EMEA region. We are looking for a commercially minded and hands‐on tax professional to take ownership of tax compliance and reporting for the UK and EMEA region. Our client is based in Chessington, Surrey, and this role is hybrid working with 3 days per week required in the offices.

This role would suit either an experienced Tax Manager looking for a new challenge or a qualified tax professional looking to move into their first Tax Manager role. Experience in international tax environment with multi‐country tax compliance is essential. We are looking for someone with the energy and drive to challenge the status quo and who enjoys improving process and controls.

This role will oversee and manage tax compliance including:

  • VAT returns, VAT recovery and VAT accounting oversight.
  • EC Sales Lists, VIES returns, and cross‐border reporting.
  • Corporation Tax returns and supporting computations.
  • P11D and PSA reporting.
  • Review and enhance the VAT landscape, identifying opportunities for simplification, standardisation and improved efficiency.
  • Act as the key contact for tax authorities and advisors, supporting VAT audits, enquiries, and correspondence.
  • Support tax reporting and provisioning, working in tandem with Finance and external advisors as needed.

Salary for this role is up to £80,000 + benefits including bonus, private healthcare, pension, and 25 days holiday.
