Grafton Banks Finance is looking for an IFRS 17 specialist for a well-known and respected insurance company. This established team seeks a Qualified Accountant (ACA) with deep IFRS 17 accounting policy knowledge and experience, who enjoys being a technical accounting advisor and has a strong grasp of IFRS 17 Accounting standards. You will be joining an experienced team of accountants.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you will take responsibility for the following:
- Provide IFRS 17 technical accounting advice
- Consider the accounting implications of transactions
- Support technical IFRS 17 accounting projects including consultation with other teams throughout the Group and preparation of IFRS 17 technical accounting memos and discussion papers
- Hold responsibilities for multiple IFRS 17 improvement projects
The successful candidate will be either:
- Top 10 trained ACA in a technical advisory team with insurance clients
- Part of a Technical accounting (IFRS 17 specifically) development team of a UK publicly listed company
- Big 4 qualified ACA with insurance clients and deep IFRS 17 advisory knowledge - experience drafting memos
Significant experience leading projects focused on improving the timeframes for IFRS 17 reporting is essential.
