Grafton Banks Finance is exclusively partnering with a growing E-commerce business in Sussex to recruit a Head of Finance. This retail business combines strong momentum with increasing operational complexity. The role will play a central part in strengthening financial control, improving processes and building a scalable finance function to support the next phase of growth.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Finance will take ownership of core financial operations while helping to shape a more robust and future-ready finance function. You will:
- Strengthen the overall financial control environment, including processes, reconciliations and policies
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate management reporting
- Own cash flow forecasting and working capital management, improving visibility and control
- Support the budgeting and reforecasting cycle, providing review, challenge and insight
- Oversee tax and statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, corporation tax), working with external advisors
- Lead on year-end audit and statutory reporting, coordinating internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and mentor a growing finance team, building capability and independence
