Grafton Banks Finance is working with a highly acquisitive and growing PE backed business, based in East Sussex, to recruit a newly created Group Tax Manager role.
Working closely with the Head of Tax, this role will be instrumental in raising the profile of tax, being an effective business partner to add commercial value and ensuring on-going tax compliance for the business.
This is a broad and hands-on role that will require someone to have strong skills across multiple taxes (CT, VAT, PAYE etc.). To be successful, you'll need to be a qualified accountant or tax professional with strong technical tax accounting skills from a dedicated tax accounting position, ideally gained in a group structure or international business. This role could also suit someone working at manager level in practice and looking to make their first move into industry.
In this broad role, you'll be assisting with tax strategy and policy, owning corporation tax and VAT compliance, driving improvements to transfer pricing processes and documentation, providing tax advice on projects, and reviewing and maintaining tax processes and controls.
This role will require someone with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and someone who is happy being hands-on. The role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
The role is hybrid working with 2 or 3 days per week required in our clients' offices in East Sussex. Salary range is £80,000 – 90,000 + benefits including bonus potential of 20%.
