Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing commercial business with offices in Chichester to recruit a Credit Controller on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting in the Finance Operations Manager and working in a small friendly team you will be responsible for taking ownership of key customer accounts and maintain status of each customer balance including any overdue amounts and timely resolution of any customers queries.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively communicate with customers to facilitate their account balance is settled within terms and timely payments are received.
  • Follow up any overdue invoices and if necessary, obtain evidence of supply and supporting documentation.
  • Regular communication with other team members on the resolution of queries and collectability of overdue accounts.
  • Post bank receipts and payments to Accounting System.
  • Reconcile customer statements on a regular basis and take action to resolve any queries as appropriate.
  • Ensure all remittances are allocated accurately and on a timely basis according to the remittance supplied by the customer.
  • Reconcile the bank accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Process daily invoices and monthly statements and issue to Customer as required, including a daily banking upload.
