Grafton Banks Finance Executive Search is assisting a rapidly expanding and dynamic SME near Bromley with the recruitment of a CFO (number one in finance), reporting to the CEO. This business has exciting growth plans and has recently developed new technology which will enable further growth in the UK and internationally.

This role is a key position within the senior leadership team and requires an experienced FD or Head of Finance with all round accounting experience, both commercial and technical. The role will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, corporate governance, reporting and risk management functions of the business.

You will manage:

  • Budget
  • Cost control
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • International expansion
  • Investor relations
  • Contract reviews
  • Financial strategy and planning
  • Margin improvement
  • Commercial analysis to support investment decisions
  • Working capital management
  • Banking relationships
  • Future fundraising

Candidates need the following experience to apply:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Already be operating at FD or CFO level within an SME, and be hands on
  • Be commercially minded with experience of helping to drive business expansion
  • Experience of producing board reports
  • Be based within easy commuting distance (maximum 1 hour from Bromley) as the role is 4 days onsite and 1 remotely
  • Previous experience of working within e-commerce, gaming, SAAS, B2B tech sectors or subscription based business is essential
