Grafton Banks Finance are working with an SME commercial services company with offices in Brighton, East Sussex to recruit a Part Time Finance Manager. This role is working 25 – 30 hours a week reporting into the Finance Director. This part-time job opportunity is central to the smooth financial and operational running of the business. You will take ownership of all day-to-day finance work, manage the month-end process up to trial balance, produce accurate management accounts, and maintain strong financial controls. You will also oversee some general office and operational tasks, ensuring that our team and office environment run efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Complete month-end close processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
- Produce monthly management accounts with commentary, variance analysis and insights to support decision-making.
- Maintain an accurate trial balance and prepare schedules for internal and external reporting.
- Support the FD with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning.
- Maintain the day-to-day accounting ledgers including sales, purchase.
