Grafton Banks Finance is looking to recruit for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our busy multi-site practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is confident managing bookkeeping duties alongside personal tax and VAT return preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing bookkeeping for a mixed portfolio of clients
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time
- Processing personal tax returns and supporting related compliance work
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts
- Liaising with clients across multiple sites and responding to queries professionally
- Using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and bespoke software
- Assisting with general practice administration and supporting the wider accounts team
Requirements
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
- Strong bookkeeping knowledge with VAT return experience - CIS would be desirable
- Experience processing personal tax returns
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software packages
