Grafton Banks Finance is working with a PE backed business, based in Brighton, East Sussex to recruit an Interim Management Accountant.

This business is a leader in their field, and an award-winning business to work for.

This role is based on an initial contract for a period of 6 months due to company growth.

This role will report into the Group Financial Controller and will lead the production of the monthly consolidated management reporting and management accounts for both the UK and overseas businesses.

We are looking for a qualified, or finalist or PQ level accountant with strong hands-on management accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and first-class communication skills.

This role will suit someone already working in a management accounting role and looking for the next step in their career, or someone moving out of a smaller practice with hands on management accounting experience.

Key tasks

  • Prepare accurate and timely management accounts including P&L, BS and Cashflow reports.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide insightful commentary.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Support variance analysis and cost control initiatives including reconciliation of product costs.
  • Ensure accurate accruals and prepayments are maintained.
  • Assist with year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
  • Improve the month end process and improve the management reporting information prepared by the department.

This role is hybrid working with 3 days in the offices in Brighton East Sussex.

Salary for the role is up to £60,000k Per Annum .

The successful candidate will join a high calibre team reporting into a Group Financial Controller.

Due to the initial contract basis candidates available at short notice or within 1 months notice will take preference.
