Grafton Banks Finance is working with a growing commercial business with offices on the outskirts of Battle, East Sussex to recruit a Management Accountant.

This is based on an inital 3 month contract with the view to go permanent.

This business is a leader in their field, and an award-winning business to work for.

This role will report into the Group Finance Director and will lead the production of the monthly consolidated management reporting and management accounts for both the UK and overseas businesses.

We are looking for a qualified, or finalist or PQ level accountant with strong hands-on management accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and first-class communication skills.

This role will suit someone already working in a management accounting role and looking for the next step in their career, or someone moving out of a smaller practice with hands on management accounting experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely management accounts including P&L, BS and Cashflow reports.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide insightful commentary.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Support variance analysis and cost control initiatives including reconciliation of product costs.
  • Ensure accurate accruals and prepayments are maintained.
  • Assist with year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
  • Improve the month end process and improve the management reporting information prepared by the department.

Due to the inital interim nature of this job opportunity candidates available at short notice will take preference. This is a hyrbid working job opportunity.
