Grafton Banks Finance us working with a successful General Insurer to recruit their new Group Finance Manager.
Working as part of a high calibre group finance team this role will be responsible for completing the month end, quarter end, and annual group close, regulatory reporting, and will be an SME for the new group finance system implementation.
We are looking for a qualified accountant, ideally ACA trained in practice, although not essential. Strong group finance and consolidations skills gained in a large business are essential, as is IFRS experience. Experience in the insurance industry and exposure to IFRS 17 and Solvency II would be an advantage.
This role is hybrid working with 8 days per month expected in the offices. Salary is circa £90,000 – 95,000 + benefits including 10% bonus, pension, and 25 days holiday.
Key tasks:

Preparation and submission of quarter-end Group consolidated results under IFRS 17.

Manage month end, quarter end and annual Group close.

Monitoring the monthly reinsurance bookings and preparation quarterly reinsurance statements, working closing with UK and European finance teams.

Preparing Group SII own funds and SCR reporting.

Providing design and implementation support to Finance change / cross functional Change Projects and other queries. Specifically, the new financial systems project, including new "the one" Chart of Accounts and system set up.
We are looking for someone with first class communication skills who is at ease working with stakeholders across the business, strong Excel skills are essential, and experience of working on finance systems implementations would be useful.
