Great opportunity for a first move from practice into industry. Grafton Banks Finance is working with a growing and acquisitive business, based in West Sussex, to recruit a Financial Controller for one of its subsidiaries. Reporting to an experienced Finance Director, this role will partner the senior stakeholders of this subsidiary to deliver all financial reporting, management accounting, and budgeting and forecasting for the business.

Our client is looking to recruit a qualified accountant currently working in practice and looking to make their first move into industry. Ideally qualified with first time passes and degree educated. You will possess a mature and dedicated approach, together with the drive, ambition, and desire to succeed. You will also have a good understanding of financial accounting and will possess strong communication skills. Excel skills are important.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and associated analysis.
  • Balance sheet and cash flow management.
  • Intercompany reconciliations and accounting.
  • Preparation of budgeting and forecasting.
  • VAT returns.
  • Revenue recognition.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and dealing with auditors.
  • Acting as a business partner to senior stakeholders to provide performance and commercial analysis.

Salary for this role is up to Β£60,000 + benefits including 10% bonus, private healthcare, and an enhanced pension. The role offers lots of flexibility around remote working and our client has offices in Sussex and London.
