Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting an Interim Finance Business Partner for a growing engineering business near Worthing in West Sussex. The role is hybrid with between 1-3 days onsite and the rest remote.
The role requires the following experience to apply:
- Fully qualified accountant
- Recent business partnering experience
- WIP/project accounting experience
- Available immediately or at short notice
Reporting into the Finance Leadership Team, you will play a key role in supporting operational and commercial finance activities across the business, delivering accurate management accounts, commercial insight and financial support across a fast-paced project and contract environment. You will work closely with operational, delivery and commercial stakeholders, supporting financial performance, project profitability, working capital management and business decision-making during a key period for the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Preparing commercial and operational financial reporting across contracts, projects and operational workstreams
- Take the lead on project accounting activities including WIP, accrued income, revenue recognition and contract margin analysis
- Business partnering with operational and commercial teams to support performance management and financial decision-making
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management activities across operational areas
- Reviewing and improving financial controls, reconciliations and reporting processes
- Supporting balance sheet reviews, accruals, prepayments and month-end close activities
- Providing financial analysis, modelling and commercial insight to support operational performance and profitability
- Supporting working capital improvements including debtor management and cost recovery initiatives
- Assisting with audit deliverables and wider group finance activities where required
- Supporting finance transformation, reporting improvements and systems/process enhancement initiatives
