Grafton Banks Finance is working with a successful and growing listed business to recruit a newly created Group Accountant role.
Following a large acquisition, the group finance team is looking to add an additional head in a role that will be integral to the group consolidated financial reporting, annual and interim audits, and the performance and growth of the business.
We are looking for an ACA qualified accountant with practical IFRS experience, either someone making their first move out of practice or someone already working in industry and looking for their next challenge. You’ll need to have experience of working with or in business reporting under IFRS to be considered.
Our client is based in Crawley and has a hybrid working policy with three days per week expected in the offices. Salary for the role is up to £70,000 + benefits including a 10-20% bonus.
Key tasks:
- Preparation of Group consolidated financial statements and interim reporting (IFRS).
- Working with auditors and through the annual and interim audit process to ensure an efficient process.
- Accounting for key judgements and issues, prepare accounting papers and Audit committee papers.
- Assisting in the preparation of Group reporting to the Board.
- Assisting in the review and testing of internal financial control processes across the Group in accordance with the new Corporate Governance Code.
- M&A – assisting on integrating new acquisitions into the Group.
- Treasury – assisting with treasury management across the Group.
This is a broad role that offers significant exposure to the CEO and CFO of a successful listed business. It would be a great first move into industry offering broad experience and plenty of opportunities for progression within either group or regional finance teams.
