Grafton Banks Finance is working exclusively with a respected and growing engineering business in Epsom, Surrey to recruit a Divisional Financial Controller. The role requires a fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) who has previous experience of accounting for long term contracts. This could be from construction, engineering, facilities management, or related sectors. This is both a varied and commercial business partnering role.
It manages all aspects of accounts for one of the main divisions of the business and requires lots of liaison with project managers on budgets vs spend, cost reporting and many other aspects.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Finance business partnering divisional operational heads of department
- Cost reporting on projects and long-term contracts
- Cashflow forecasting
- Treasury management
- Monthly accounting including accruals, repayments, and all accounting entries to produce MI
- Balance sheet control
- Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Group VAT returns
- Ongoing systems and process improvements
There is plenty of value add in this role in terms of business partnering and systems and process improvements.
