Grafton Banks Finance is working with a family office to recruit a Financial Controller to oversee their financial affairs and associated interests. This is a unique and varied role, working within a family office environment, where you will take full responsibility for managing assets, investment portfolios, business interests, and providing accurate and timely financial reporting.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience working in a family office or for a high net worth individual (this is essential). Experience in investment management would also be useful. The role requires a technically strong accountant who is commercially astute, detail-oriented, and trusted to act with absolute discretion and integrity. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills will be essential.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day financial management for the individual, family office, and related entities.
- Manage investment interests across asset classes (including property, equity, and private investments).
- Produce accurate monthly and annual financial reporting, cash flow forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Liaise with external advisors including banks, wealth managers, tax advisors, and lawyers to ensure efficient structuring and compliance.
- Provide strategic advice on financial planning, risk management, and wealth preservation.
- Ensure all tax, regulatory, and compliance obligations are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Support decision-making around new investments, acquisitions, and divestments.
- Monitor performance of existing assets and provide regular updates.
