Grafton Banks Finance are currently working with a well-respected and growing business with offices based in Central London to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a full-time permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Recording of purchase/sales invoices, receipts and payments.
- Maintaining cashbooks in multiple currencies & bank reconciliations.
- Inter-company reconciliations.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange preferred.
- Knowledge of VAT returns.
- Accruals & prepayments.
- Fixed assets register.
- Management reports.
- Assisting with analysis and schedules for forecasting Corporation Tax.
- Assisting with the preparation of the company statutory accounts.
- Strong Excel, double entry and reconciliation skills.
- Ad hoc duties (as required).
Key Skills & Experience
- AAT part or fully qualified (or equivalent qualification) preferred but not essential.
- Working knowledge of Sage 50 Professional is advantageous.
- Well organised and methodical.
- Willing to be part of a team and engage with others.
- Confident self-starter, able to problem solve and use initiative.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Relevant experience preferred – expected to be > 2-3 years.
