Payroll Assistant

30 hours per week, Monday-Friday (flexible on start and finish time) * To support the Company by processing all payroll activities, and providing information as required by internal and external departments and bodies * Update Payroll Software with new starter information * Review and distribute monthly timesheets to branches. * Upload returned monthly timesheets, verify sickness, overtime, bonus, commission, holiday pay, and calculate and make all statutory payments as appropriate. * Calculate final payments for leavers: e.g. outstanding bonus payments, overtime, holiday pay, loans etc. * Produce electronic payslips * Build Excel reports as requested by Directors and Management Accountants on both a monthly and ad-hoc basis using data downloaded or information imported from payroll software packages. * Provide advice on payroll matters * Provide cover for the Payroll Supervisor and process the Pension Fund Payroll. * Work unsupervised with high levels of accuracy. * Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation and procedures. * Produce monthly reports for management as per schedule to include starter and leaver information and overtime and bonus statistics.
