The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30000 € per year.

Our clients have a vacancy for a Trainee Machine Operator working 44 hours per week (working hours are between the hours of 6:00 am and 4:45 pm, Monday to Thursday inclusive and between 6:00 am and 10:15 am on a Friday inclusive, all days with a forty-five (45) minute unpaid lunch break).

Main duties:

  • Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure good working order.
  • Perform all necessary safety checks at the beginning of each shift.
  • Perform testing of quality throughout and optimize throughout during the production run to hit targets.
  • Report on set up, run time and down time through shop floor data.
  • Monitor machines during every run to ensure optimum running speeds.
  • Maintain, clean and recalibrate machines at the end of each shift.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other production equipment.
  • Maintain a safe working environment that is always free from the build up of waste material.
  • Provide relevant information relating to progress to Production Manager.
  • Report any defects, near miss or Health & Safety issues to the Production Manager.

Key competencies required:

  • Good level of Health and Safety.
  • Ability to listen, learn and take instruction (written and verbal).
  • Excellent attention to detail and good understanding of quality issues.
  • Good Math skills and ability to calculate measurements.
  • Reliable with good time keeping skills.
  • Physical stamina with understanding of manual handling.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of technology.
  • Flexibility - Willing and able to work other shifts from time to time.
