The Finance Assistant is a true all-rounder within the finance team a varied, hands-on role spanning everything from raising invoices and managing incoming payments to credit control, supplier set-up, job costing and financial reporting.

We are looking for a reliable, accurate and well-organised team player who enjoys variety, takes real pride in getting the detail right, and is happy to turn their hand to whatever the team needs.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, IT, Data and Compliance, you will play an important part in keeping finances accurate and up to date.

Full training is provided, there is genuine scope to grow, and study support toward a professional qualification is available for the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Generate invoices for chargeable works, making sure they are accurate, properly supported and issued on time Manage incoming payments recording and allocating them accurately and keeping records up to date Carry out credit control, issuing statements and reminders, chasing overdue accounts and building good relationships with clients Assist with setting up new suppliers and processing supplier payments Support job costing, helping to track costs against jobs and flag anything unexpected Assist with financial reporting and month-end tasks Carry out accurate data entry and keep financial records well organised across our systems ...
