Are you a technically skilled and quality-focused Test Technician looking to join a growing production team in Eastbourne.
This role is initially on a 6 month contract basis
The role is responsible for testing, inspecting and verifying completed products and systems before they are approved for delivery to the customer.
You will work closely with Assembly and Engineering teams to identify faults, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure every product meets the required performance, safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Test completed products, assemblies and electronic systems according to defined test procedures and specifications.
- Carry out functional, electrical and performance testing before products are released for shipment.
- Set up and operate relevant electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Measure and verify electrical parameters such as voltage, current, resistance, frequency and power.
- Read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Identify, diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults.
- Investigate products that fail testing and work with Assembly and Engineering to identify the root cause.
- Carry out adjustments, corrections and minor repairs where appropriate.
- Re-test products following corrective work.
- Record test results accurately and complete relevant test and quality documentation.
- Ensure products meet the required specifications and quality standards before final approval.
- Identify recurring faults or quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain test equipment and ensure the test area remains safe, clean and well organised.
- Support continuous improvements in testing methods, product quality and production efficiency.
- Assist with prototype testing and new product introduction when required.
