The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 £ per hour.
- 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday (flexible on start and finish time)
- To support the Company by processing all payroll activities, and providing information as required by internal and external departments and bodies
- Update Payroll Software with new starter information
- Review and distribute monthly timesheets to branches.
- Upload returned monthly timesheets, verify sickness, overtime, bonus, commission, holiday pay, and calculate and make all statutory payments as appropriate.
- Calculate final payments for leavers: e. g. outstanding bonus payments, overtime, holiday pay, loans etc.
- Produce electronic payslips
- Build Excel reports as requested by Directors and Management Accountants on both a monthly and ad-hoc basis using data downloaded or information imported from payroll software packages.
- Provide advice on payroll matters
- Provide cover for the Payroll Supervisor and process the Pension Fund Payroll.
- Work unsupervised with high levels of accuracy.
- Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation and procedures.
- Produce monthly reports for management as per schedule to include starter and leaver information and overtime and bonus statistics.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Full working knowledge of Excel to include designing and maintaining detailed spreadsheets with the use of formulas and importing data from other sources
- Skills and knowledge gained through working in a payroll department.
- Computer literate in all areas of Microsoft Office to include Word, Internet Explorer/ Access, and Outlook
- Knowledge of payroll legislation and procedures
- Working knowledge of payroll specific software packages
- Some general accounting knowledge and skills
Essential
- 4 GCSE’s at grade “C” or above to include Maths and English (or equivalent).
Desirable
- AAT or payroll specific qualifications
