Grafters Recruit Ltd require a transport clerk for ongoing work from our clients in the Shire area (Worcester).

- Rotation shift Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00 plus Sunday 07:00-15:00 every other week

WORKING PATTERNS AVAILABLE:
- Monday to Friday rotation shift - 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00 - with additional Sunday work 07:00-15:00 every other week
Role Responsibilities:
- Administer the movement of vehicles and associated activity entering and exiting the site in a timely, safe, and accurate manner, in line with the agreed service strategy for the Sainsbury's store network.
- Undertake all activities in line with KPI requirements and service agreements.
- Help develop a culture of continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.
- Be accountable for personal Health & Safety practices.
- Ensure GXO Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Ensure any customer-specific Health & Safety requirements are followed where appropriate.
- Assist, alongside the Health & Safety Manager, in resolving matters relating to health, safety, and welfare.
- Ensure appropriate actions are taken to remove or reduce significant risks or hazards.
- Raise any areas of opportunity for improvement or concerns regarding the working environment.
- Carry out all required administration in line with Company/Client procedures to support vehicle and driver movements.
- Assist in administering the integrity and accuracy of WMS/transport IT systems (Microlise, C3 Yard, Tachomaster) and other relevant systems.
- Maintain accurate records management.
- Work in line with agreed targets related to productivity, performance, accuracy, timekeeping, and attendance.
- Support continuous improvement activity in line with PCDR objectives.
- Escalate issues in line with agreed procedures to managers.
- Work as trained and in accordance with Company procedures for all tasks.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Essential:
- Previous experience working in a transport office environment
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong administration skills with high attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Self-motivated with a can-do approach
- Good team player with ability to work on own initiative
- Good communicator at all levels
- Someone looking to progress and develop within the department and company
- Desirable:
- Previous transport experience (not essential)
- Understanding of Drivers Working Time Directive and EU Regulations
- Experience with transport systems such as Microlise, C3 Yard, Tachomaster
PAY STRUCTURE (PAYE ONLY):
- Monday to Friday Days - £13.56
- Weekend Days - £14.92
- Overtime after 37.5 hours Days - £16.41
