Grafters Recruit are looking for a committed HGV1 night shunter to work with one of our national companies based in London Gateway Stanford Le Hope. This role is a hybrid role with majority shunting but may be required to go out on a route if required.

BENEFITS:

  • 8 hour working week, 5 days a week, Monday - Friday night
  • £20.48 per hour PAYE
  • 23:00 - 08:00 shifts

  • Continuous training and development opportunities including DCPC and further licenses on completion of probation

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Shunting vehicles within the yard in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic and vehicle legislation
  • Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects
  • Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly secured and delivered in a safe manner
  • Always providing a first-class customer service experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid in-date Driving License, Driver Qualification Card and Digi Card
  • Extensive shunting experience
  • No more than 6 points on driving license
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
  • Onsite assessment will be required
