Grafters Recruit require a nights warehouse operative for our client in Dartford, Kent, to work on night shifts. It is essential to have recent experience in a warehouse environment and operating PPT.
This role will require people who are physically fit as items can be heavy.
You will need to have safety boot and Hi-Viz

DUTIES:
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 09.00-21.00 (incudes weekends when the rota falls)
- Reporting to the warehouse supervisor
- Working in a team environment in a safe manner adhering to site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work
- Loading vehicles ready for customer deliveries
- Ensuring quality is of the highest standards and all stock is handled with care so it arrives at our customers in perfect condition
- Carry out training of new and agency employees and daily operation tasks
- Assist and oversee van area procedure - ensuring all vans are done by following the process and in a reasonable time manner
- Aid and assist with the development and continuous improvement of all Warehouse Operatives
- Cover all planned and unplanned Supervisor's absence
- Always adhere to all GXO Health & Safety policies
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience within warehousing is essential
- Counterbalance and PPT experience
- The ability to read and understand instructions
- The ability to count accurately
- Have the appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment
- Counterbalance essential
- PPT Experience essential for warehouse operative, not mandatory for Stock & returns Operative.
- You will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player and will have a flexible approach to work
- Physically able to assist in the movement of goods which may include bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and lifting in line with Health and Safety regulations
Interviews will be held.
