Key Responsibilities- Ensure health and safety compliance across all sites and engineering teams.
- Act as the on-site HV and LV Authorised Person (once qualified and on shift).
- Proactively manage and monitor the Permit to Work and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems in line with internal Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements, particularly ensuring subcontractor adherence to RAMS.
- Oversee and ensure safe and compliant performance of subcontractors on site; manage work approvals and supervise service or repair activities.
- Complete additional tasks as requested by site management.
- Conduct annual appraisals for shift technicians after completing the relevant internal training.
- Maintain awareness and compliance with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Ensure maintenance systems (e.g., Maximo, Concept) are kept up to date and all PPM/reactive tasks are closed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Area Contract Manager to consistently maintain high service delivery standards.
- Support the contract support team to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee statutory and code compliance across sites; ensure engineers are fully equipped for daily operations.
- Develop and maintain a balanced PPM schedule in coordination with the Area Contract Manager.
- Ensure all PPMs are completed in line with manufacturers guidelines.
- Manage documentation related to PPM and associated works.
- Provide day-to-day management of day engineers and shift team members.
- Maintain accurate asset registers and ensure all assets are correctly labelled.
- Oversee procurement of materials and services; proactively identify additional work opportunities and raise quotations.
- Offer technical support to engineers, helpdesk, and clients.
- Lead investigations and reporting of significant operational incidents.
- Ensure all callouts are responded to promptly, in coordination with the helpdesk.
- Foster a strong health and safety culture throughout the team.
- Assist engineers with PPM as needed; maintain ongoing communication with the engineering team.
- Track weekly tasks and assist site management with reporting and service delivery updates.
- Monitor and uphold high levels of customer service.
- Verify completion of third-party contracted works.
- Attend statutory maintenance works to review procedures and provide feedback.
- Escalate any unapproved quoted works that may have an operational impact.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all in-hours shift issues and mechanical incident escalations.
- Prepare and distribute a weekly report in collaboration with the Area Contract Manager.
