We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading a busy, fresh-food Gastro Pub kitchen. You will help drive standards, develop the team, and deliver consistently high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, professional environment.
The Role
- As Sous Chef, you will be the Head Chef's right hand, managing daily operations, mentoring junior chefs, and ensuring every plate meets specification.
- You will play a key role in menu development, food safety, and cost control, while keeping service smooth and the kitchen motivated.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading by example and supporting the Head Chef day-to-day.
- Running efficient, organised services with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Training and developing the kitchen team.
- Managing stock, ordering, and waste control.
- Maintaining top-tier food hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborating with FOH to deliver great guest experiences.
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years experience as a Sous Chef in a fresh-food, high-volume kitchen.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
