New Opening - Fresh Food - High Volume Gastro Pub £65,000 + 20% Bonus

We are looking for a hands-on, standards-driven Head Chef to lead an exciting new opening in Central London. This is a fresh-food kitchen and you will need to be able to inspire a talented brigade of Chefs. If you love building teams, delivering consistent quality, and running a tight, well-organised operation, this is a role where you can truly make your mark.

The Role

  • Take full ownership of the kitchen, leading service, developing your team, and delivering food you’re proud of.
  • Drive high standards, maintain excellent food safety, and ensure every plate meets spec.
  • Shape menus, manage stock and GP, and work closely with the GM to keep service smooth and guests happy.

This role also brings future potential to step up to Executive Chef within this group in the coming months.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, coaching and developing the kitchen team.
  • Running efficient, organised services in a high-volume environment.
  • Creating seasonal menus, specs and costings.
  • Managing stock, ordering, waste and GP.
  • Ensuring top-tier food safety, hygiene and compliance.
  • Working collaboratively with FOH to deliver great guest experiences.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, well-run kitchen at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years experience as a Head Chef in a fresh-food, quality-led kitchen.
  • Strong leadership skills, calm, organised, and great with people.
  • Excellent food knowledge and creativity with menu development.
  • Confident with cost control, budgeting and rota management.
  • A role model for standards, safety and professionalism.
