We are seeking an experienced and organised Workshop Production Assistant to join our team at Graft Events Limited. As a Workshop Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production team to deliver high-quality events and projects. If you have a passion for live events, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
Salary: from £27,000.00 per year
Work Location: in person, Ilkeston
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including manufacture, logistics, setup, and teardown
- Coordinate with team members to keep stock and materials available
- Oversee repairs and maintenance of existing assets
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure seamless execution of builds and projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events
- Build and assemble custom exhibition stands and structures
- Use a range of hand tools
- Produce bespoke pieces including cutting, shaping and finishing
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised work space
Requirements:
- Working Hours - Full Time, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (additional hours and weekend work will be regular so flexibility is necessary)
- 1-2 years of experience in event production or a related field
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in working with workshop machinery and tools
- Full Clean UK Driving licence
- Flexible approach to working hours (including early starts or travel)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in the events industry, particularly in workshop or production environments
- Carpentry or Joinery qualifications
- An understanding of electrical installations
