# Public Health Intelligence Manager## About the roleCambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Public Health Intelligence (PHI) Manager to lead our public health intelligence function, driving evidence-based action to improve health, reduce inequalities, and address the wider determinants of wellbeing.Reporting to the Head of Policy, Performance and Intelligence and working closely with the new Director of Public Health, this is an exciting opportunity to influence the health of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough residents.The PHI Team Manager will work across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough system including the Integrated Care System, Local and Combined Authorities and wider partners, helping to build population health intelligence capacity and good working relationships across the local system to inform the improvement of population health and reduce inequalities.The role will sit within Cambridgeshire County Council’s newly formed Policy, Performance & Intelligence Team. A team of 50 individuals who provide data, analysis insight and policy expertise to support the operational management and strategic planning of services.We are a family-friendly employer and will be happy to negotiate on working arrangements to achieve a good work / life balance. The role is currently available on a permanent basis with the option of flexibility from full-time to a minimum 30 hours per week, with a provision for home working.**Please refer to the person specification when completing your supporting statement, as applications will be shortlisted against the required experience, knowledge, and skills.****For more information or an informal discussion, please contact Rachel Hallam, Head of Policy, Performance & Intelligence, at****Rachel.Hallam@cambridgeshire.gov.uk****or Harriet North, Interim Public Health Intelligence Team Lead,****at****Harriet.North@cambridgeshire.gov.uk****.**As a Public Health Intelligence Manager you will be responsible for: * Leading the Public Health Intelligence Team, ensuring delivery of high-quality analysis and robust management of public health datasets.* Designing and managing a programme of joined-up public health intelligence across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough system including the Integrated Care System, Local and Combined Authorities and wider partners.* Support wider public health priorities as needed in collaboration with colleagues in the Public Health team.* Upskill the Public Health workforce with data and intelligence competency, in line with standards.* Develop digital solutions and intelligence tools to make public health intelligence accessible to colleagues, system partners and the general public.* Act as a senior expert in public health intelligence, advising senior leaders and elected members.You will work closely with the wider public health team, including the new Director of Public Health, to understand and manage their intelligence and insight needs and direct the Analysts as appropriate.### About youWe’re looking for an individual with excellent knowledge, skills and experience of working with linked patient level data (health, social care and wider determinants datasets), and an understanding of the health and care system and public health’s role within it. You’ll bring the skills to undertake analytical work yourself and quality assure the work of others.
